Palantiri Lawn Ornament
So, I'm cooking supper this evening and as I looked out the window, I noticed the neighbors chrome-surface mirror ball in the back yard (You know what I'm talking about, right?).
And I thought, "That looks like a Palantiri... who would use one of them as a lawn ornament?" and immediately figured Tom Bombadil would. Just thought I'd share that.

Perhaps old Tom just wants whoever may be watching to hear his hit songs. After all, Old Man Willow probably makes for a terrible audience.

True. And Tom isn't a person who lets an objects importance color his opinion of it. Probably would use Galadriel's Mirror for a bird bath.

That's so easy to visualize it's scary. Then again, I'm sure an ordinary hobbit would do the same, only they wouldn't know the importance, just how much their garden needs sprucing up.

Well, at least it isn't dwarven lawn ornaments. I don't think Tom would touch those.

Would he confuse them with garden gnomes?
