What is the 'specific' problem?
If I remember correctly the only map that necessitates attention in the Hobbit is of Mirkwood forest, as not all of the other locations in the journey are illustrated. The fairly blank one with Erebor (the Lonely Mountain) need not be used until the party arrives in Dale. Maybe try using a LotR map instead (if you have those books), for everything but Mirkwood. i have a reason you might be confused. in the hobbit, the map has east where north should be "as is the fashion with dwarves". so try turning the map on its side.

balrogman that is a beautiful map. I have actually never seen that one before. The colors and the art is gorgous and it is also very clear.
