The purpose of the story is to: Find and rescue Thin-Gloomy the Dwarf.
This means we will know the story is over when: we find and rescue him. |

Timeframes:
This game takes place in the 3rd Age at around year 1300. The storyline itself or plot covers 1 week – 2 weeks. This game requires a time commitment of 8 weeks from me, the game owner and from the major players. |

I'll try to write the first post in a few days. (From what should I start? The jail? the kidnapping? Or is it up to me?) Great to be in, I'm itching to see what will come out of this!

Hmm, I was thinking maybe do two or three posts of travelling, one of which inculdes details of the kidnapping. How does that sound? After that, do whatever you would like.

Can you present players send out some invites for the remaining characters? People you'd like to play with.
Their only requirement is to have posted in one of the Inns and to read through the Red Book of Westmarch rules. How about Naria? or the Sixth Wizard? or Forest Elf? Or ???. Thanks! ~*~ Pio

The Discussion Thread is now open for questions and to take on characters.
~*~ CORDELIA Go ahead and put your Elf’s Bio and First Post on this thread. Please use this guideline for creating your Elf character: Return of the King – Appendix F: Tolkien’s description for the Quendi (The Speakers) – the name given to the Elves by themselves after they first awoke in Middle-earth. “They were a race high and beautiful, the older Children of the world, and among them the Eldar were as Kings, who now are gone: the People of the Great Journey, the People of the Stars. They were tall, fair of skin and grey-eyed, though their locks were dark, save in the golden house of Finrod; and their voices had more melodies than any mortal voice that is now heard . . .” ~*~ THINLÓMIEN & VALESSE Please get your first posts done and place them on the Discussion Thread – I’ll move them up, then, so that they are with your Character Bio. ~*~ VALIER Please let Glirdan know if you are still playing in the game. If so – you only need to get a Character Bio onto this thread. ~*~ GLIRDAN Do you want that outline of your game you sent to me put on the Discussion Thread for all players to see? ~*~ Pio

Hello everyone and welcome to the Life of Gold RPG! For those of you who do not know how this was derived, I shall tell you. After the Great Golden Hoard game that Valier had ran, I wanted to take it a step further and turn it into this RPG. Simple as that.
Gald to see old faces in (Cordelia and Crystal) and I'm happy to see those I have never played with before. I am hoping that this will turn out to be a blast. Pio If you wouldn't mind. However, I will say that we may deviate from what is written in there. However, we should be following it almost exactly as written. Valier As pio has said above, please let me know if you will be playing ASAP. Crystal Love the first post. I'll talk to you more in detail about our characters later on. Once again, thank you everyone for playing and I can't wait to start. Oh! And if you know of anyone who would be interested in playing, pass the word on. As you see, we still need 3 more characters. |

I'm really really really sorry about not posting yet, I've just had a lot on my plate and just finally got something turned in and far far away from me. Expect my post today. Soonish-today.

I've posted too.
And, Jenfried (pronounced "jen-freed", byt the way, not "fried" like in french fries - just if you were wondering ) is exaggerating a bit. She is in pain, but the wound probably isn't that bad ie you might get a bit wrong picture of the thing if you take her feelings as objective truths (that goes to other things as well, of course).

Lazy copy-paste action - sorry!
Possibly won't be able to post on days other than Friday and Saturday for a while. The very thought of going without the Downs for 5 days at a time chills my bones.
