Extended Version of the Trilogy
I've heard some rumors about there being an Extended Version of the Trilogy, due out in 2005. One thing I heard was that there was to be a blooper feature with it (something I've wanted to see for a while).
Has anyone here heard similar or additional rumors concerning the Trilogy EV?

I heard that on some site that was all about movies. I think that each movie is 30 minutes longer or something like that. That's just what I heard.
Burzdol

An extended version? I have heard that there is a back-to-back version of all three movies out in 2005. But extended, I don't know.

They're not.
You have to scroll down almost to the bottom to get this quote.

quote:
One very encouraging note for Lord of the Rings fans who have bought or are planning to buy the Extended Editions - New Line has stated that they are not going to punish loyal fans who buy their Extended Editions buy putting out some sort of other 'Super-Ultimate' Edition or Collection after the third film is out. So your investment in the Extended Editions is safe.

Certainly it is likely that they will package the three films together, but this indicates that we don't have to worry about something coming out with even more footage than the special editions have now.
H.C.
[ June 26, 2003: Message edited by: HCIsland ]

Yeah, that seems to be the case. Thanks for that link, HC.
Okay, new question: even it it's just a back to back to back version, what extras would be with it? I said already that there is supposedly going to be a blooper reel (which I have been hoping for since Fellowship came out). What else might be on there, or what do you hope will be on there?
Oh, and Elentári, Welcome to the Downs!!! Enjoy being dead.
Abedithon le!

Whoa! I was scared for a minute before I read that quote. I would be so ticked off if I had to by another edition when I will have all three of the theatical and extended editions. I guess I could skip buying the theatical edition but I can't wait that long.
