How Many Times?
How many times have you seen TTT? I know it just came out, but.... Me, due to sad circumstances, have not seen it yet, but I was wondering how many times you had, and if just once, do you plan to again?<BR>(I know there's another thread here about how good/bad folks thought it was, so I'm just asking about # of times seen).

I hope when you do get to see it you have better luck than I did at the first show opening day, why people go to movie theaters then sit there and chit chat like their in a coffee shop during the movie is unbelievable, and extremely rude especially when they ignore others who are politely letting them know it's annoying. I got to see a whole 7 minutes before leaving, telling off the theater manager and going home. I'll save my ticket money this year for the extended dvd!

I have already seen it 2 times, once on Friday and also this Monday! I do not know how many more times I will see it, but I saw FOTR 7 times in the theater, so I will maybe see TTT at least 3 more times

I just saw it today, and while it was a GREAT movie, i was a little disapointed in the ending. And what was with that big thing with Faramir taking them to Osgiliath, and I didnt think Osgiliath was a big city...? Didnt Faramir say in the book: 'I would not pick up this thing even if i saw it by the side of the Road.'<BR>That is probobly way off because im quoting him from memory, but what the...?<BR>Correct if im rong btw!<BR>

Twice so far, and I think I could go for one more time. Or maybe more depending on who I see it with. Company counts for a LOT in this kind of movie, the kind you can talk about for hours or for years afterwards! Now that I've seen it a coupla times on the big screen, I don't really feel the need to see it 8 times - there's lots of things I don't like about it, and 3 hours is a long time if you're not 100% enjoying it. At least on DVD you're at home and you can get up and go to the bathroom or make a coffee or whatever.

*walks in cackling insanely* I've seen it four times! I'm going for at least seven times in the theatre because that's how many times I've read the books. At the premier, barely anyone talked, and the other times it's kind of gratifying to hear them talk. They'll laugh heartily at Gimli, or gasp and say sad stuff when Haldir dies. They say "oh how cute" to Gollum. The last time I went, a girl behind me clapped for Legolas when he shield surfed. I joined her

Ëlrian, YOU WALKED OUT?! My, what willpover you have.<P>I have seen it only once thus far, but I am absolutely going to go again. Depending on how good it will be then, I'll decide whether to go third time or not. But probably I will, beacause I, on the other hand, have no willpover at all.

I went on the first day as well. I was going to take a whole group of my friends, about ten or fifteen. I couldn't get everyone's parents convinced enough though, so I only went with three friends, one friends dad, and his friend. We left at 11:30 from school and got there at 12:00, when the showing was at 1:00. We got there early enough. It was hilarious chatting with some of the other Tolkien fans before the movie, and everything was hushed when the lights when out just for the commercials. <P>And then I have been three more times since that 1st showing. My cousin in Michigan is a fan too, and he and I might go.<P>Aylwen

well i've saw it 4 times, I went today in costume with 3 other friends in costumes and 1 not. We might go again in Sun. hopefully it'll work out. In our little fellowship we had 2 hobbits, 1 elf, and 1 Eowyn. If all goes as planned on Sun we'll have 1 hobbit (me), 2 elves including a Legolas, 1 Eowyn, and 1 black rider. (also 1 Middle Earth paparazzi) (sp?) Yeah i hope i can beat my unworthy record of 8 from last year! Maybe I'll make it to the teens.

I saw it the night it came out and I was shocked to find that I was the only one wearing even a piece of costume. I wore my all-purpose black cloak, but partly just because I like that cloak alot. I guess every die hard in my town (except me) got tickets to see the midnight showing <BR>Anyway, I've seen it three times now, same number of times I saw FotR in theaters but if I can *crosses fingers* I'm going to get to go at least two more times before it leaves. Any more than that and my parents have threatened to commit me to an addiction clinic <P>~Happy 111th Birthday to J.R.R. Tolkien on Jan 3rd~

I've seen it three times and will see it again this evening. I went in costume the first time, and I can't do it again because I cut my hair. ( I was an Elf)<BR>Don't worry Samwise and Arwen Imladris, someday the video/DVD will come out and we can see it as many times as we wish! In seven months... <BR>Anyway, cheers! <BR>~M

I have a fanatical friend, who when she got the video of The Fellowship of the Ring , she watched it EVERY SINGLE DAY! I think she toned down a bit now! Ever since TTT came out she's seen it about 8 times! Just because she's a huge fan of Elijah Wood and the books! <p>[ January 10, 2003: Message edited by: Telfeaion ]

I have just come back from the cinema from seeing TTT for the first time!!<P>I thought it was a little bit slow at first, but then as it got going I thoroughly enjoyed it. I f I have the chance I would like to see it again.<P>The Battle at Helm's Deep was the best bit for me. I particularly liked the part where Legolas says to Gimli, "Shall I descibe it to you or shall I fetch you a box" (or something like that, and when Gimli tells Aragorn to toss him into the enemy "but don't tell the Elf"!!<P>Does anybody know when the video is coming out?
