Middle Earth Liscense Plates
I was just in the "You know you are obsessed with LotR" thread when this idea popped into my mind. If you were to put an LotR related message on the liscense plate of your car, what would it say. I don't have any ideas right now, but I'll think of some and post later.

Hmmm, I would put something Hobbit-related, like "SHIRE" or "HOBBIT" or maybe something like "BILBO". Hehehe.

Also, I would have a novelty horn that says: Noro lim! Noro lim! |

Mine is going to be FRODO, or something to that effect. Or maybe R1NG3R.

I've had mine planned out for a long time (even though it will be a long time before I can drive). Unfortunately, WI license plates only let you have 7 characters, so my choices are kind of limited. Anyway, mine would be MDLERTH.

DENETHOR. Or I might have STEWARD or something. Or perhaps FARAMIR. Or ELESSAR. Or ME26 RST. ME for Middle Earth, 26 = number of Ruling Stewards, and RST standing for Ruling Stewards.

I like MDLERTH. It's great. Mine would have to say something like ENTRME, enter ME. The only problem would be that only Tolkien fans would get it.

I would probably put "MEorBust!" ME=Middle-Earth, just to point that out.

I would love to get one on my car, but I would bet that because of the release of the films many of the Middle Earth related 7 lettered names, places, etc. are gone. I did once really see a man on a motorcycle who had the license plate of "LOTR", which I thought either ment "Lord of the Rings" or "Lord of the Rigs". I would love to have a small green Mini with the license plate of "FRODO", "HOBBIT", or "PIPPIN"

FR0D0LVS (Frodo Lives) GREYFOOL LOTRFRK (LotR Freak) Ooh! Maybe I'll get a big black car and have my license plate as NAZGUL. [ July 31, 2003: Message edited by: Horse-Maiden of the Shire ]

Id have VALAR, thats all i can think of right now, but id think it would be cool. Its strange because here in Australia the limit for numbers on a number plate is about seven letters/numbers, but thats becuase we only have a pop. of 19 million.

I have this all planned out: I'm going to get a black PT Cruiser, with flames on the sides, and the license plate will read NAZGUL1. Or maybe MORGUL1.

There's a car near me that has a numberplate with 'ENT' at the end. I'm not sure if it was deliberate or not though...
As for me, maybe a simple '111' would do the trick. Or is that too cryptic? Okay then, '111ORBST'- one hundered and eleven or bust'. That's my ambition, to live to be a hundred and 11. Not very likely, but fun to tell people.

I've seen license plates that say YRH. They all make me think of 'yrch.' Heh.
Mine would say LUTHIEN, or maybe DDRNGER. D.ead Ringer. You know, because some people call LotR obsessed fans 'Ringers' and those of us on the Downs are 'dead.' (that idea originally came from the thread What are we? and I liked it.) [ August 04, 2003: Message edited by: Tinuviel of Denton ] |

AGTLROND if you wanted to push the aussie limits, i have seen some cars with 8, but it costs about $2,000 to get one... Anyway, that was Agent Elrond.

If I could cut SHIELDMAIDEN down to seven letters, then I'd love to do that, since I love Eowyn, but I don't think it would look right to me however it's done. Oh well, I'll have to think of something else.

In Finland our register plates(or whatever...) consists of 3 letters and 1 to 3 numbers. That sets certain limits.Maybe something like
ENT-5(ents) OSS-3(ossë) TAR-1(tári=queen in Quenya) AIW-3(aiwë=bird in Q.) BIL-80(bilbo) GAM-633(gamgee) oh well, I doubd I never get one of these 'cause they're quite expensive.

i thought of some new ones! LVNMAID (elven maid), BRWDWNS (barrow-downs), and EOWYN, or EOMER. Or you could get a silver-grey car and have the plates say SHDWFAX (shadowfax)! This thread is really cool!

L0TRFAN or perhaps I'd have ELV1SH or H0BB1T.. yes that's it.. I'd have two cars, park them side by side so it would read ELV1SH H0BB1T! bwahahahaha it'd be interesting if every actor in LoTR had a liscence plate with their character name on it.. just a random thought

Sauron's Eye, of course. That's easy.
What about one that says HARAD? I know, I know, they weren't popular, but I've become partial to them since Dark Seduction. |

I've heard of one car that had a licence plate of MEORBST (Middle Earth or Bust) and had a "Hobbit on board" sticker in the back window. I want one of those!
I'd probably get STYBBA. Or maybe GAMG33 or LBERETH (first 'e' wouldn't fit).

I'd probably use something simple, like my BD nickname. Though, I also like Elf in Training (but abbreviated, of course).
*sigh* It'll be a long time before I can get a custom-made license plate. Not for another seven years, at least.

Possibly something to the effect of 'YAVANNA' or 'YVNA228'. I'm quite partial to my name here.

I think I would either have LOTR70X70 which means LOTR forever. Or GANDALF or ONERING or NINE or THEEYE or ORTRTA (one ring to rule them all) and I probably got more but I'm sleepy so I'll do more later.
