I'm going with the Noldor, simply because they learned so much over the ages, and they are more tragic, fitting with my personality.

Oh how easy it would be to choose to be numbered among the Vanyar and live countless years in peaceful bliss at the feet of the Valar. But that is not the life for me, for I love the Noldor. I would want to feel that unquenchable thirst for knowledge and desire for greatness. And I would be of the House of Feanor, for my hair is dark and my eyes are light, and my spirit burns like fire! <img src=devil.gif ALT=":evil">

Noldor of Gondolin? Why choose to be an elf in a place that you knew was certain to meet its doom?

Anyway, I'd want to be of the Vanyar, or at least a part of the Noldor who live under Finarfin or a part of the Teleri who live under Olwe.

You know me: I have to find "real" answers...well: I went to selectsmart.com because they have a "Tolkien Elven Race" selector...and I got (in this order):

1. Laiquendi (Green Elves)
2. Silvan (Wood Elves)
3. Teleri (Sea Elves)
4. Vanyar (what selectsmart.com called the "Fair Elves")
5. Gwaitl-i-Mirdain
6. Nandor
7. Noldor (they call them the "Deep Elves")
8. Sindar (Grey Elves)
9. Eldar (West Elves)
10. Falathrim
11. Galadhrim
12. Avari (East Elves)

Hmmm...sounds about me...

Remember Blackadder 2 though.... the Vanyar are a bit too "goody-two-shoes" for me .... maybe not rebellious enough for me?

But I have no manual dexterity so that rules out the Noldor. Probably has to be the Teleri because I love singing and living by the sea and might learn to embrace my greying hair and stop dying it .... but I do hate sailing though so that might be a problem

It is a tough choice because I like a little of it all, but if i had to choose I would choose to be of the Teleri (Sea Elves) or the Silvan (Wood Elves) race. I like that calm tranquility of the sea, the fishing, the birds, the storms (I do love to sit and watch the storms. Then there is the woods or forrests which bring their own pleasures to life. The color of the trees (would they still change color in ME like in today's world?), the animals that live in the woods, among other things. Those are what I would choose.

I took the quiz and got Laiquendi (Green Elves). O well, didnt match.

I like that calm tranquility of the sea, the fishing, the birds, the storms (I do love to sit and watch the storms. Then there is the woods or forrests which bring their own pleasures to life. The color of the trees (would they still change color in ME like in today's world?), the animals that live in the woods, among other things. Those are what I would choose.
