Real Live LOTR characters
Have you ever seen someone who oddly enough looked like a character from LOTR? {Book, not movie.}
I was at the fair the other day, and I was waiting in line with some friends for this ride called the Ring of Fire. (Lol.) Anyway, these guys walked behind me to get to another ride, and one looked EXACTLY like a Hobbit!! {in a sorta taller form.} He had brown curly hair, not exactly the skinniest person I've ever seen, and he was around 5'0 tall. But he resembled me so much of a Hobbit. I had to stare at him a second to make sure it wasn't just my immagination playing with my mind. He kinda resembled my version of Merry. So, have anything like this ever happened to you? If so, tell! |

The other day i saw a guy with bright yellow rubbers on, and it reminded me of Tom. except he didn't have any green or blue on, but it was funny.

My boyfriend looks exactly like how I imagine Aragorn to be - tall, dark hair, mustache, & goatee, and totally handsome!

There is a girl at my high school named Bree. (Like the place in LOTR, of course. ) She looks exactly, and I mean exactly like Elijah Wood! :eek Its scary! I have my suspicions that she is secretly his twin sister.
My dad looks alot like how I picture Gimli to be. He's rather short, abrupt, blunt, and has a beard (not a long one, but oh well.) I am often tempted to call him Gimli, but I don't, for fear that his dwarvish temper will flare up. [ October 19, 2002: Message edited by: DarkRose ]

I know you said no movies, but this reminded me of what I read in an article or book (read so much can't remember where).
The casting director and assts. constantly needed extras for the movies that even when they would walk the streets they point to people.....hobbit...elf....uruk-hai....dwarf...etc. So I kind of do that myself when I'm bored in line.

A worker at this pub I frequent is known as Gimli Son Of Gloin, or at least WAS. You see, he had the long hair and the long beard and the Dwarvish features (though not really short and too thin)
But he got a new haircut, a spiky little number, and I was a bit gutted. On another note, I'm considering growing my hair to look a bit like Faramir. That would rock!
