Hey, i'm reading the Silmarillion and i have a question. Aman and Arda and Ea are constantly mentioned. Which one is what? Thanks.

-Ea is the material world and universe.
-Arda is the elvish name for the world. -Aman is the land west of ME - also called the "Blessed Realm," which encompasses Valinor. My copy of the Sil (2nd ed) has an excellent index in the back that includes most names and places mentioned in the entire book. Try looking there!

This may sound repetitive, but The Books is for "advanced discussions". Please ask questions of this nature in N&N.
