Hey - I think this is probably the wrong place for this but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about William Nye (Nigh? Nighe?) who was the voice of Samwise in the BBC version of the LOTR.

I'm not familiar with him, Vanye, but I bet someone here might know. Just keep checking back,

I thought Nighy (I am nearly positive that that is the correct spelling - wierd, huh?) was a stupendous sam. considering his place in cast listings at then end of different episodes, I would guess that he is mainly a BBC actor. I don't know this for certain, but he is obviously not as famous as Sir Ian Holm or Michael Hordern, or Peter Woodthorpe.

You can see him putting in a tremendous performance as James Mortmain, the father in the film I Capture the Castle, in your cinemas now. (Which is based, coincidently, on my *other* favourite book of all time...)
