Exhibition - Tolkien's Boyhood in Birmingham
The Birmingham Library recently showed an exhibition on Tolkien's boyhood there. It is currently being shown in the Library in Frankfurt, Germany, which is a partner city to Birmingham. For more information, check out this site: Tolkien Boyhood Exhibition and the linked pages there.

who, who?
I read this thread and the link one day when I had no time to post. I like the postcards that are available.
This kind of reminiscent exhibition seems very elven to me. Do you think it is something which would have made Tolkien happy? Now, that question assumes we can say with some degree of sureness who or what we think Tolkien thought. Also, who does this exhibit reach out to? Local people, to inspire them about Brum's past? to suggest something about Brum's current state and future? Or to tourists, literary tourists?
