Tolkien "Battle of the Peak"???

The other day I met someone who said that the battle between Gandalf and the Balrog had been named "The Battle of the Peak". They had no clue if it was right or not. I skimmed a couple of sections and couldn't find anything about it. I was wondering if someone could help me out here.

In The Two Towers, "The White Rider", Gandalf says:

"There was none to see, or perhaps in after ages songs would still be song of the Battle of the Peak."

As far as I know, that is the only time the title is used.

Only other possibility Glorfindel's battle with a different balrog on a different peak?

Tolkien Thank You

I think they must have taken it from the quote Son of Numenor used. Thank you. But was it actually named that, or did Gandalf just use it on the spot?

There was no official name for the battle, and if there were, it would have been created after Gandalf said the above quote, probably after the War of the Ring, for the lore-books.

1420! Point of View

Tolkien also rights in a lot of point of view, just because someone says something doesn't mean that person is right or wrong. Gandalf just calling it the "battle of the peak" might have just been him, doesn't mean everyone named it "the battle of the peak." But, it is very possible it was written in lore books and called "the battle of the peak" either way thats what it's referred to as I assume.
