The Sword Reforged
The trailer has provided us with a good bit of information concerning the sword reforged. We know now that Arwen returns tor Rivendell, and brings the shards to the smiths of old Eregion. Then Elrond takes the sword to Aragorn, probably replacing Halbarad in giving his own words, to take the Paths of the Dead. Somebody speculated that there were elven banners in the background of a shot of Aragorn, which makes a decent argument for Elrond bringing Elladan and Elrohir along with him to join the fight, but it seems that Arwen will remain at Rivendell. The reforged sword is seemingly a necessary tool now, required for amassing the army of the dead. It's the proof they need. So if Elrond brings his words, he'll probably bring the banner made by Arwen (if it's there) and he'll probably be a decent temporary replacement for Halbarad. He might even bring Aragorn's horse, though I doubt it since the Two Towers Brego will probably remain his, given the fact that the taming of the horse gave Aragorn a connection to the Rohirrim and is attached to him permanently now.
I hope Elrond brings the Grey Party, even if they don't go into the Paths, he would need an escort of some kind, what with all the wild men running around in Dunharrow.

In shots outside the Paths of the Dead it is just Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli present, so if the Grey Company do come with Elrond, it doesn't look like they take the Paths of the Dead.
I have no problem with Elrond bringing the sword to Aragorn, but who is that reforging it? It looks slightly like one of the Elves seen briefly in the council of elrond - is is Elladan/Elrohir?
If they were Elf banners in the background, could PJ have replaced the Grey Company with more elves from Rivendell? They get about a bit in the movies (Helms Deep, anyone?)

I really think Elrond is going to show up with a anonymous group of elves as escort. I think if PJ were planning on bringing in the Grey Company he would have mentioned their existence by now. I also don't think it makes sense to have the Dunedain of the North help the deliver the sword, but then not accompany Aragorn on the Paths of the Dead.
It's like, "How's it going boss? Well, see ya."
H.C.

It should be arriving any day now, along with a really rare Elrond battle figure), and the horse is Brego. So I reckon he'll be staying with Aragorn.
Don't you just love the way Aragorn gripped the sword??
By the way, that face in the water before Narsil is plunged in...could it be Arwen, or who? Her hair could be pinned up, but if you look close the ears don't look quite right.

I think that the face you see reflected in the water is most definitely Arwen. There just isn't that many other elves in Rivendell that look like that.
I am glad though that they decided to send Elrond to deliver the sword instead of Arwen. It just seems more right. Though I do hope that they send some people with the three on the paths. It would be a shame if they had to go alone.

I dunno, I'm kinda holding out that it's Figwit. I heard that he was called back for pick-ups for ROTK. I also heard PJ say in an interview that he thought the Figwit thing was kinda funny. It would be cool this time if he actually gave him something to do

Check out this image:
I think we can safely say that's Arwen, but TheOneRing.net has a bit of a story on it tonight.
