Sally, as I've clearly offended you, I apologise. I probably sounded a lot more testy than I meant to, mainly because, by coincidence, I have a quite similar work-related situation going on right now.
All the same, I don't think it was an unreasonable complaint– and, whether you believe me or not, I really did intend it to be a piece of advice as well.
