The way the library systems around here work. The library in town is rather small, while 20 minutes farther north there is a huge library (supposedly the "county library") that, because it is not within our library taxing district, I cannot check out books from unless I wanted to pay a $31 fee, which would then expire in a year. And of course the two can't set up some kind of interlibrary loan thing... oh, no.
